Unofficial blog by faculty members of the Vermont College of Fine Arts, MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults. We write at our own risk. You should, too…

  1. Dear Faculty:
I’m the Acquisitions Editor at IntoPrint.

IntoPrint (www.intoprintpublishing.com ) is a new type of publisher focused solely on the republication of out-of-print titles in both print and e-book editions at no cost to authors. We have global virtual distribution through Ingram Content Group, our author royalties start at 50% and go up from there, and we market our books once they’re available.

You can learn more about us through my interview with Cynthia Leitich Smith on her Cynsations blog, http://cynthialeitichsmith.blogspot.com/2013/10/editor-interview-anny-rusk-on-intoprint.html.

We have already released titles by Greg Leitich Smith,
(we are working on books by Cynthia Leitich Smith too), Elisa Kleven, and Valerie Hobbs to name a few.

We believe that in this tech age, there are no out-of-print books, only books that haven’t been read yet. In an effort to get these books back into the hands of readers, and share the opportunity we offer with the authors who follow your blog, I wanted to ask you if you’d do an interview or a blog post about IntoPrint. (An interview I did for your very own Sarah Aronson, who runs the Novel Writers Retreat every year, will post on From the Mixed Up Files…of middle grade authors blog tomorrow, 11.6)

As too many books are relegated to out-of-print status too soon these days, I encourage you to submit any of your O/P titles to us if you’re so inclined.

I hope to hear back from you soon.

    Take Care,
    Anny Rusk
